Vineyard :
Terroir: semi-arid climate with little rainfall; the soil consists of sandstone, clay, limestone and alluvium.
These are soils, often rocky, low-fertility, but with good drainage.
The altitude of the vineyards varies between 425 and 450 meters.
Grapes: 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 25% Tempranillo and 30% Moristel.

Preparation of ecological wine:
Harvest manual for Moristel and Cabernet Sauvignon; mechanical for Merlot and Tempranillo.
The clusters are worn out.
The fermentation takes place over a period of about 15 days at 18 C during the first 3 days, then at 23 C for one week and ends at 29 C during the last week.
4 infusions daily with supply of oxygen to allow complete fermentation.
once the wine is finished, is introduced in French oak barrels for a year, with a proportion of 30% of new barrels.
Tasting
The ruby color of our wine is intense with a thin border of garnet.
On the palate, there is a combination of black fruit very ripe and spicy aromas of toasted oak.
This wine is well-balanced and structured, it has a long finish. With us, aged for 1 year in French oak barrels (with a share of 30% in new barrels) and then for a further 24 months in bottle.
Ideal with red meats, pasta with tomato sauce, sausages and cheeses. Pour into a decanter to oxygenate the wine. Serve at 18 C.

Its aroma is very complex, with a multitude of shades.
it Evokes memories of fruit very ripe (apricots, cherries), in equilibrium with characteristic notes of oak (spices, cinnamon, anise, and cocoa).
In the mouth the wine is warm, soft, very balanced.
Presents a tannin lightweight and very polished.

Bodega Villa D’orta, is a small winery that is located in the village’s kitchen Garden, Vera, in the province of Huesca, under the denomination of Origin Somontano.

Bodega Villa d’orta has owned more than 50 hectares of organic vineyards certified.
The parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Tempranillo were planted between the años1999 and 2000 in Laluenga and Barbuñales, two towns situated about fifteen kilometres from Barbastro.
Bodega Villa d’orta, specializes in the production of high quality grapes (the grapes of Barbuñales are reputed to be among the best in the region), and in the marketing of wines and organic grapes for wine-making.
Our wines are made mainly with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot , and bottled in Huerta de Vero, a small village in the Somontano area a few kilometers from the medieval town of Alquézar.
