In 1995, collecting the old family tradition, Don Santiago Gracia Ysiegas founded Bodegas Solar De Urbezo .
With the vocation to make the grapes from the vineyards that the Gracia-Campillo family owns in Carignan, offering the total guarantee of quality and purity in their wines.

They are cultivated plants in the dry, in low rainfall, very stony, with medium sized boulders covering half of the estate, and a deep clay subsoil.
Under these conditions and thanks to the good work they do in the countryside according to the parameters of organic farming, they obtain grapes with great potential and concentration, from which come these wines so authentic and so expressive.

The winery is located in the region of Aragon and 45 Km from its capital, Zaragoza.
The wine culture in Carignan is one of the oldest in Spain since it dates back to the 3rd century BC.C. when the Romans inhabited these lands.
The cultivation of grapes has continued over the centuries, and continues to be fundamental in the way of life, economy and historical heritage of the area

The altitude at which the vineyards are located, the extreme climate with cold winters and warm summers, the shortage of rain and limestone and Stony clay soils, are essential factors for the vines to develop their full potential, obtaining low production of excellent quality and wines of great expression.
Urbezo's history and Solar tradition cultivates with affection and care the 100 hectares of vineyards of its property, to get healthy grapes that concentrate aromas, color and structure.
The autochthonous Grenache over 60 years old, Tempranillo and Cariñena and the nobles and foreigners, Syrah, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay make up a wide range of varieties from which they are born together with the microclimate and terroir, wines with complex and balanced assemblages and varietals with personality.
