Land and climate

The climate is characterized by mild temperatures and abundant rains, offering the hours of sun necessary for the ripening of the grapes. The coldest month is January and the minimum temperatures are 10 ° C.

The Albariño variety reaches its maximum expression of quality in the climate and soil of the Salnés Valley, influenced by the longest coastal plains of Galicia bordering the Atlantic Ocean.
The climatic conditions, the land and its location together with the application of the most modern production techniques make these vineyards the maximum exponent of the quality of our winery Vionta.

Vineyards and grapes

The vineyards of the winery Vionta are located in 3 areas of the Salnés Valley: Cornazo, Ribadulla and Cubelas. The terraces of vineyards, staggered, located in granite pillars, produce as fruit the excellent white grape and ink. They are undoubtedly one of the best and most valued places in the Rías Baixas designation of Origin.

The albariño, synonymous with quality, stands out for maintaining the richness of the acidity and houses 100% of the grapes that are harvested mainly during the months of August and September, depending on the climatic conditions and the production of the wine.
Wines derived from Albariño grapes are legitimized by a history of several centuries. The fresh and young style of Albariño has managed to be considered one of the best white wines.
