Since 1954 we have been packing our oil and it is now when our company takes as its mark the name of Somontano, our region, a generous land as evidenced, among others, the rich quality of crops such as olive.
Somontane oils, of exceptional quality, are pure healthy olive juice that preserves all its vitamins and natural antioxidants.
The variety of olive trees, the type of soil on which they grow, the characteristics of the soil on which they settle, the healthy air, the purity surrounding them, together with the circumstances in which the olive trees have matured, the care with which they have been harvested and milled, and the Climate, give a stamp of identity to each oil.
Its odour is very similar to that of the freshly picked, ripe or green fruit and indicates its high content in polyphenols, which provide stability.
The attributes that shape its characteristics (fruity, sweet, bitter, spicy, almond, apple, green grass or green leaf) reveal the complexity of sensations that awaken in the smell and the passage in the mouth these exceptional oils.
