Antonio Alvarez Jamones, SL is a family company dedicated to the production of Ham located in the heart of the region of the Alpujarra, in the village of Trevelez in Granada province.
It originated in Antonio Alvarez, father of the current partners, in 1960 he founded his small company of healing and marketing of trevélez hams.
Then they made about 150 pieces / year, today we surpassed 150,000.
Our quality policy is very clear and defined, it focuses on offering our customers a service and a product of excellence, integrating modern and effective management with the traditional processes of cured Trevélez Ham.

Antonio Alvarez Jamones, SL have been able to maintain and continue the knowledge and craft processes transmitted from almost 200 years ago by generations of jamoneros, expert artisans of natural healing.
Thus, as has always been done, we make a ham in totally natural conditions, without artificial control of the climate, without adding another ingredient to the meat than the oldest natural preservative used by humanity: the sea salt, giving each piece the just content and time of slow and slow healing that it requires, in the air of Trevélez.
In this way, we get a natural Ham and artisan, without added preservatives, as you demand and we guarantee you.
Trevelez : NATURAL PARK OF SIERRA NEVADA, Granada
The whole process of drying, maturing and sweating of our Ham is carried out under completely natural conditions.
This traditional method of healing is currently practiced by very few companies.
In Antonio Alvarez, we continue doing it, we carry out the complete process in Trevélez, a village located in the foothills of the Mulhacén at 1,700 meters of altitude in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Natural Park, an area declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, where we have five centers with architectural design and location within the village specifically studied to take advantage of the natural conditions of each time of the year.
