Charles de Fere has a long family history based on Nuits-Saint-Georges, one of the most prestigious places in Burgundy. Today it is controlled by Groupe Boisset, which provides the infrastructure for its international development. Its wines are produced by the traditional method-the same used in Champagne and the most cordial of sparkling lovers.

In 1961, Jean-Claude and Claudine De Boisset, a young couple in the heart of Burgundy, France, embarked on a career in the wine industry. His first customers were friends of the family; the first wines were bought from neighbors and childhood friends. Three years later, they bought their first vineyard plot – Les Evocelles in Gevrey-Chambertin. Today, this parcel is a part of the domain of the family Boisset, and the company that bears his family name has become the main producer of wine in Burgundy, with a collection of Franco-American wineries on two continents, with a presence in 80 countries, and collection of wineries, indepenedent unique and historical estates.

The second generation – Jean-Charles Boisset and his sister Nathalie – carry their parents ' vision forward. After working for eight years to develop Boisset's American business, Jean-Charles returned to France in 1999, where he and Nathalie developed and implemented the company's evolving philosophy – from negociant-éleveur to viniculturalist.Together, united vineyards of the family in the Costa-de-Nuits and Côte-de-Beaune under a single property, Le Domaine de La Vougeraie, which shows the unwavering dedication of Boisset with the quality and provides a legacy appropriate to their fathers, Jean-Claude and Claudine.

Today, the Boisset Collection unites old and New World wine with its franco-American spirit and wineries on two continents. It is one of the leading family-owned luxury luxury companies in the wine world.
