Bodegas Vivanco : "I have always felt that our wines had to tell a story.

From humility, from learning, from that respect you have to have when you look at nature and listen to the Earth.

I wanted to tell it in a different, more innovative way. Trying to show all the riojas that hide behind Rioja itself.

From the curiosity of an indigenous variety and unique in the world to its ability to adapt to the best terroir.

This has all been and is my personal challenge. I try to make my wines authentic, different, sincere and unique.

To transmit the expression, authenticity and personality of our vineyards.

Developing and raising them with the utmost respect, but from a demanding, dynamic and current vision. That's what I really feel.

Around the winery we find the El Cantillo Estate, which is named after the amount of stones rolled on the ground. Tempranillo is the fundamental variety, but not the only one. In this vineyard we can also find other varieties that we use in our wines: Graciano, Garnacha, Mazuelo, Viura, Malvasía, etc.

The cellar, Underground, is functional and aesthetic. The building was built under the ground with the aim of eliminating as little vineyard as possible and to minimize the environmental impact in favor of Landscape Conservation. By doing the cellar underground, it was also possible to favor a natural balanced temperature and humidity conditions all year round, essential for the good conservation and ageing of the wine in barrels or oak tino.

The spirit of Viticulture and pioneer of Rafael Vivanco is reflected, in addition to its wines, in the experimentation and research on different methods of cultivation and production, in the use o
