VerdeMiel Gourmet Raw Honey
At VerdeMiel we are passionate about bee honey, so we work to offer you only pure honey, without mixing or pasteurizing, with a thick filter so as not to lose the properties and benefits of an organic honey produced by native bees.
Our honeys are made from the nectar of flowers, SAP and pollen from different plants in natural areas of Andalusia.
Only with local and sustainable beekeeping can we preserve our ecosystem and guarantee you a honey of intense and natural taste.
Why raw?
Our honey is not subjected to heat or filtration treatments during the extraction and conditioning process, which allows to maintain all the richness and added value of the particles that can accompany the honey (pollen and propolis).
Why ecological?
For the production of organic honey, the management of hives must be completely natural and certified by an accredited body.
Our bees are not fed with sugar, the treatment received by hives is done with substances existing in nature and all our apiaries are in natural areas and free of contamination, in most cases these spaces are protected and are a great biodiversity.
VerdeMiel honey complies strictly with the requirements of the European regulation of organic agriculture. We are accredited by the CAAE (Andalusian Committee on Organic Agriculture).
1) colmenars must be located in a totally natural and pollution-free environment, in most cases they are protected areas and a great biodiversity, far superior to other beekeeping environments. This would be the big difference with conventional beekeeping.
2) The Honey feeding of the bees themselves, if they so require, should be done with their own honey and never using sugar as glucose or fructose.
3) chemical products or medicinal products of chemical synthesis such as insecticides or antibiotics are prohibited, as they are transmitted to honey and are ingested by humans.
Treatments (preventive cures) in organic colmenars should be based on completely natural treatments with products existing in nature, mainly oxalic acid (present in the roots of many plants), thymol (present in the essential oils of thyme and oregano) and formic acid (the ants secrete this acid)
4) The Hive (The House of bees) is made of natural products and cannot be painted with petroleum products, as these components are harmful to bees
5) the whole process of extracting the organic honey is carried out at room temperature and at the same temperature as the Hive, and must be collected by decanting. The honey will never be at temperatures above 45 ° C, as this will result in the elimination or reduction of the enzymes that bring the bees to the honey , which are the main responsible of the antibiotic properties of the honey.
The greatest floral diversity in Europe is used by our bees to make our honeys.
Every honey is unique as every landscape is unrepeatable.
