Turmeon Vermouth Original Special Red Bottle 75cl Vermouth Turmeon Red is the fruit of an exhaustive search in our library of an old recipe for a new vermouth. Part of its secret lies in the fact that a certain amount of the wine has been aged for more than 80 years in some casks (pipes) that our own grandfather (Pipero) manufactured. Each time it extracts only a small portion of wine from each pipe, making it possible as well, that taking this vermouth, we can take a small portion of the wine with which it was filled originally. The wine is macerated with various botanists, among which are the cinnamon, the cloves and the wormwood, three powerful aphrodisiacs known since the middle ages and protagonists in a multitude of recipes for “potions of love”. Hence the name “Turn Me On” (enciéndeme in English). From a family recipe, that remains for three generations, the wine is macerated with twelve different ingredients, including cinnamon, cloves and wormwood. But part of its secret lies in the fact that a certain amount of the wine has been aged more than eighty years in a few barrels –pipes– 500-litres that made the own grandfather –known as ‘the pipero’– of the owners. Each time it extracts only a small portion of wine from each pipe, according to the scheme of the sills in andalusia, making it possible that “we may take a small portion of the wine with which it was filled originally”. The wine has been made with macabeo and garnacha, as the winery is “very clean and bright with a nice yellow mahogany with shiny amber colour. Middle layer, light density and abundant tears. on the nose, intense with aromas of dried fruits, hazelnut, walnut combined with sweet tones of raisins and figs. we also find balsamic we provide a pleasant bitter touch. In the mouth it is dense and sweet –without being cloying–, intense, and easy step long aftertaste, recalling the aromas, which we received on the nose”. Its name comes from the English expression ‘turn me On’, as the three ingredients listed are considered to be major aphrodisiacs. In Greek mythology, the dolphin was created by Bacchus (god of wine), and then used by Eros (god of Love ) to travel, we couldn’t think of a better way to describe what represents the Turmeon White with this animal. History of Bodegas Jaime: Like many other century-old cellars of our country, the history of our winery dates back to the year 1865, just before the phylloxera appeared in France, and ravaged great part of the vineyards French. When the vineyard French had almost entirely disappeared, the winemakers French had to find in Spain the wines that they could no longer produce. Their requirements were basically 2 areas, well communicated (primarily by rail) and grapes of excellent quality. Morata de Jalón was in a privileged situation, since it was the only village with a station in the area of Valdejalón/Cariñena and their garnachas had the prestige that they are slowly recovering today. So much so, that in the NINETEENTH century, Morata de Jalón, a town with barely 2000 inhabitants, had 26 Wineries. It was during these years when our wine had more prestige, achieving multiple international medals (still today can be seen these prizes in our facade): Zaragoza 1868 Madrid 1877 Paris 1878 was the prestige of our wines, that Leopoldo Alas Clarin, speaks of our brand Valdiñon in his most famous work, La Regenta “Christmas day come you to eat the turkey with us. I have sent Lion full of nuts. Will be a thing exquisite. In addition, I have wine of my land, a Valdiñón that is chewed…”. Keeping the same philosophy but adapting to the trends and requirements oenological current our winery continued to produce bulk quality up to the present. Some of our wines, a “little treasure” has been moving from generation to generation. The recipe of our Vermouth TURMEON Video of Bodegas Jaime (antena aragon).
