Soil is the heart and main raison d'être of organic viticulture. IDRIAS in addition to belonging to the APPELLATION OF ORIGIN
SOMONTANO also have their wines certified as Organic Production by the Committee Aragonés Ecological Agriculture.

The vineyards

IDRIAS reflects the essence of the Sierra de Guara, in the heart of the Somontano designation of Origin “at foot of Mount” of the Aragonese Pyrenees, a transition zone between the Ebro River Valley and the Pyrenees, where the Romans consolidated the cultivation of the vine, being today its denomination of Origin, one of the most prestigious wine-growing areas in Spain, where the quality of its wines is its standard.

The soils are fundamentally brown-limestone, low fertility, a good level of limestone and good permeability conditions, which give the wines the unique personality of the “land” to which they belong, accentuated by the non-interventionist oenological practice which in turn enhances the expressiveness of each of the selected varieties.
