In Souto da Trabe we produce chestnuts and boletus grown in our soutos, 100% certified from organic farming.

Processing: we collect the product between October and December so that it retains all its characteristics and nutritional value.

Castaña is the main protagonist of its products, a fruit of great quality very common in the interior of Ourense.

Chestnut jam, chocolate chestnut cream, chestnut cream with boletus, syrup Chestnut … autumn flavor.

We have Chestnut and fig jam, Chestnut and pumpkin, Chestnut and boletus and Chestnut and chocolate.

With the exception of the latter, which we import from fair trade, the rest are produced by us.

The boletus plantation works as an antibiotic for Chestnut and in return Chestnut gives it fertility, they make a perfect symbiosis.

On the other hand, we started planting pumpkin because the Leaf gives nitrogen to chestnuts.

Then it occurred to us to combine them and discover that they make a perfect pairing.

The chestnut with boletus combines very well with grilled meats, pasta, rice and canapés.

The syrup chestnut goes great in salads or stews.

And the chestnut with pumpkin or fig, because it's sweeter, lends itself to a cheese table.
