Since its origins, in Bodegas LAN the deposit number 12 housed the wines that were standing out for its organoleptic qualities , that is a special location, that makes it the favorite of our wine-producers. Hence their name is derived, D-12.

VARIETIES –
98% Tempranillo and 2% Mazuelo, from a selection of strains of 18-20 years located in a Payment of 4 hectares in Laguardia (Rioja Alavesa) and to strains of 30 years of age, originating from two plots of Haro (Rioja Alta).

PREPARATION:
The alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a temperature lower than 25º C, in order to maintain all his aromatic potential and achieve optimum extraction of color.
The malolactic fermentation takes place on lees in steel tanks, with pumping over newspapers and microxigenación to stabilize the color and to achieve a greater smoothness in the mouth.
AGEING:
aging of 12 months in new barrels of american oak from the Appalachians (65%) and French oak from the forests of Chateauroux and Loches (35%). Selected wood grain superfine and dried naturally for up to 36 months to achieve a fine wood and elegant, it integrates perfectly with the wine.
TASTING notes:
cherry Color with intense trim still purple. In nose is complex and intense. This wine is very present red fruit and liquorice typical of the Tempranillo, with hints of cocoa, pastry and smoked, combined with aromas of red fruit in liqueur with floral touches, mainly violet. Mouth wide and silky, with good balance. Has a long, persistent finish, where they remain notes of licorice and black pepper.
ACCOMPANIES:
red Meats and grilled, smoked, spice dishes and cured cheeses.
Serve between 16º and 18º C.
