The innovative character of Bodegas LAN Rioja is printed in each of the wines we produce, since our foundation in 1972.

Bodegas LAN is full of meanings, also marked by the choice of name, based on the initials of the three provinces that make up the D. O. Ca. Rioja: Logroño, Álava and Navarra.

Because respect for Origin is part of our character.

Production in Bodegas LAN Rioja :
We follow a maximum in the way of making our wines: to treat with the greatest respect the raw material, always preserving the characteristics of the vineyard in each of the stages of fermentation and ageing, both in barrels and in bottles.

We make each deposit in a personalized way, depending on the destination intended for it. And that respect involves the study, manual selection, creativity, tradition and modernity with which we seek to improve each day.

The choice of the most suitable wood, together with a malolactic fermentation in New barrels, transforms the must of our finca wines into friendly, unctuous and round wines on the palate.

PARENTING

During the ageing, in Bodegas LAN we once again print our identity to each of the wines, thanks to the use of different types of oak for their ageing and, even, mixed oak barrels, something in which we were pioneers.

The crianza Hall houses a fully automated system of stacking, trasiega and air conditioning unique in the world, which allows us to work with a wide range of Oak types.

Because continuous and detailed work makes us continue to test, improve and investigate at every stage of the elaboration.

At LAN we select the best tonnage in the world for the ageing of each of our wines.

We choose woods that provide unique and recognizable signs of identity to our range.

French, American, Russian and mixed oak barrels (American oak Spurs and French oak backgrounds) with different types of roasting, chosen and periodically renewed.

Each variety is bred separately on a personalised basis, according to the parcel from which it originates, in order to extract its maximum potential.
