Bodegas Asenjo & Manso
The history of Bodegas Asenjo&Manso dates back to approximately 1908 when Aquelino Asenjo (father of Theophilus Asenjo) begins planting vineyards in the traditional town of La Horra, during this long period Theophilus strived to maintain and increase the number of vineyards. It was in 2004 when their children led by Jesus Asenjo decide to carry out the project of Bodegas Asenjo&Manso, and was thus able to transform the great quality of their grapes, centuries old in the great wines that are for today: Manso, Ceres, Silvanus, and A&M. The family Asenjo, generation after generation, have been taking care of traditional way all its vineyards, and we say traditional because jobs both in the vineyard and in the winery, is made with respect for nature, the result of this working philosophy is born of our great wines. Well-balanced wines, and sensual modern style but with roots in traditional cut, wines that claim the identity of the terroir that the great vineyards of La Horra provide. Our sole aim is the elaboration of high quality wines, with the premise of controls that begin in the vineyards and end up in the cellar. Bodegas Asenjo&Gentle we produce only our own grapes coming from the 45 hectàreas of vineyard family-owned, where the age of the vines ranges from 20 years of the strains more young people to the 110 years of some of the plots more old. For this reason we can boast one of the vineyards most old of all the ribera del Duero . Our vineyard is located in the town of la Horra, one of the populations with more prestige within the D. O for being a hundred-year-old winemaking tradition. The various parcels that make up the vineyard are situated on a clay soil, sandy and calcàreo, with an average altitude of 820 meters above the sea level; to a greater willingness of the sun, all our strains are in glass Our work philosophy that we apply both in grape and in wine means that we have the maximum respect for the environment by not using herbicides,or chemical fertilizers, or plant protection products and having a strict control of the performance of kilos per hectare. The dominant variety and undisputed protagonist of the vineyards is tinta del país (tempranillo), remains our wines 100 or/or single varietal. The differentiating element in terms of the development of our wines is that one hundred percent is sourced from their own vineyards, thus which we guarantee a uniformity year after year. • Here you can see all the wines of Bodegas Asenjo & Manso
